Valentine’s Day usually comes with all the clichés—roses, heart-shaped chocolates, and over-the-top gestures. But honestly? The older I get, the more I realize that the real heart of Valentine’s Day isn’t about any of that. It’s about the little moments—messy, imperfect, everyday moments—with the people (and yes, the food) you love most.

At Credo, food isn’t just something we make—it’s part of how we connect. It’s late-night snacks after the kids are finally asleep. It’s movie nights with bowls of popcorn that somehow disappear faster than we thought. It’s throwing together a “fancy” snack board with whatever’s in the fridge and realizing it’s exactly what you needed. Food brings people together, and that’s really what love is all about, isn’t it?  That being said, doing so with healthy, better for you food is the best way to share the love with the people in your life that matter.

So this Valentine’s Day, I’m celebrating:

• The last-minute snack boards that feel like a small act of self-care when life is busy.

• The quick spray of Credo cheeze that somehow makes everything taste better.

• The joy of sharing delicious, better for you food—with your partner, your kids, your friends, or just yourself (because solo snacking is definitely a love language).

If you’re planning a fancy dinner—amazing. But if your big plans involve snacks in your pajamas, surrounded by people (or pets) you love? That sounds pretty perfect too.

Here are a few simple, fun ways to add a little Credo love to your Valentine’s Day:

1. Heartfelt Crackers & Cheese

Grab your favorite crackers and get creative with our world’s first top 9 allergen free, artificial preservative free, seed oil free, non-GMO spray cheese—write little love notes like “I ❤️ You,” “Be Mine,” or even “Nacho Average Valentine.” (Cheesy? Absolutely. But that’s the point.) It’s a fun, easy way to make snack time feel special, whether you’re with your kids, your partner, or your Galentine’s crew.

2. Penne with a Rosy Twist

Because nothing says romance like pasta, right? Make a simple bowl of penne and top it with our Credo Rosa Alfredo—it’s creamy, dreamy, and has the prettiest pink hue that feels just right for Valentine’s Day.  Pro tip (add a protein of your choice to increase the nutritious value of your cooking!)

3. Snack Boards for Two (or One, No Judgment)

Pile up some fruits, veggies, crackers, and of course, plenty of Credo. Add a glass of wine, your favorite playlist, and you’ve got the perfect low-key celebration. No fuss, just good food and good vibes.

At the end of the day, Valentine’s Day isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection—and nothing connects us quite like food. So here’s to good times, better food, and all the little moments in between.

With love (and lots of spray cheese),

Maddy
